First SSI date question?

    I have a question….
If my first SSI payment wasn’t calculated in time for a Jan 1st payment, will I now have to wait until Feb 1st? Or can they pay the first payment any day of the month? I am getting so upset. In NY, SSA is required to calculate SSI payment amt within 60 days and pay within 75 days. I am at day 70 with nothing and they would not give me an emergency ssi payment even with an electric shut off and going without my medicine and little food.
    Anybody know?

Backpay can be paid an day of the month though, so you could get some payment before the monthly payment in February.

Have you filed a dire need request?

Since Jan 1 is a holiday. Monthly SSI Benefits were paid Dec 29.
